Elegant authentic Chinese Han Dynasty, ca. 206 BCE to 220 CE Dynasty. Large Polychrome Han pottery exhibits a flat bottom and flared walls capped by a hemispherical upper half with a rounded shoulder and inward-curving rim, all sitting upon 3 curved legs. Though the entirety of the vessel is enveloped in black pigment, the top is additionally embellished by liberal remains of terracotta and white-painted horizontal bands. Size: 10.4" Diameter x 7.3" H (26.8 cm x 18.5 cm)

Comes with certificate of authenticity from well respected gallery (where it was purchased) that deals in Antiquities.-Further Provenance: ex-private Lumberton, Texas, USA collection, acquired before 2010.

Condition: Well Repaired with restoration. Loss to area near rim. Stable fissures on interior. Expected nicks and abrasions, commensurate with age. Otherwise, very nice with liberal remaining pigments.
