About artist: A student of Oszkar Glatz, he had a distinctive impasto style and drew acclaim for his fresco exhibited at the World Expo in Chicago in 1934. Gyimesy Kasas Erno was born April 15 1901 at Gyergyoszentmiklos, Hungary, and he died July 1994 in New York at age ninety three. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest in 1923, and ten years later he received his diploma for teaching art. He had his postgraduate studies in Vienna, Munich, St Gallen, Leipzig, Dresden, Berlin, London and Rome. In 1929 he received his masters degree at Chicago Art Institute He has been assistant professor of figural arts and perspective at the Budapest Academy of Arts; professor of photography at the Budapest Academy of Professional Photographers; assistant professor of art at Farleigh Dickinson University in Madison NJ .
