Authentic Pre-Columbian Colima Culture "Dancing" figures artifact dating from the proto-Classic period (300BC-300AD). This rare form piece displays 4 figures engaged in ceremonial dance. Center Figure has arm extended holding rattles encircled by 3 dancing figures arm in arm. All figures have headdress and earrings one in loin cloth while others nude with slightly protruding genitalia, indicating men. Truly fascinating look into the daily life of this ancient culture-dancing was a practice in for ceremonial rituals and perhaps entertainment. Excellent province with certificate of Authenticity (see below). Free domestic Shipping. Condition: Two dancers have one arm reattached. One dancer has both arms reattached. Central figure appears intact. Professionally resurfaced over break lines. Pink hued artifact retains nice magnesium and earthen deposit encrustations. Overall very nice condition.
